Hello friends! I'm back home after my holiday with my son; we had a wonderful trip through Ontario to visit with my family!
I got home late on Friday, and on Saturday, I opened my craft room door - excited to get back to stamping - and my eyes bulged out of my head. The room looked like it had been ransacked. I stood there in disbelief for a moment, then said to my husband "is this seriously how I left my craft room?!" I guess I have my work cut out for me before I can get back to work this week! It is a disaster in every sense of the word. Sigh.
Thankfully I've still got some projects queued up on my blog for you - including this new favourite! It was my first chance to play with the new Calypso Coral Ombre ink pad, and I thought a beautiful strawberry daiquiri would be the perfect place to use it.
The ombre gives such a nice, subtle layered look to stamped images. Super cute! Just make sure to tap your stamp and move it slightly - up and down a millimeter or two- to prevent having a line between the ink tones. Make sense? Try it and you'll see!
Simple as it is, I love this combination of Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, and Daffodil Delight. It's so crisp and fresh.
Thanks so much for stopping by today - see you again tomorrow night for an Artisan Design Team Blog Hop - I have a really fun project that I've been dying to share with you! Can't wait!
Cheers,
Shannon
Such a fun + refreshing card...Love the ombre.
