Beachy Bag

Good morning, friends!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend.  There was lots of crafty time and family time on my schedule!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the urge to use Bermuda Bay cardstock, white ink, sponges, and the Hardwood stamp to create some fabulous beachy distressed wood and turn it into a gift bag.  So I whipped that up quickly, and let's be honest - the decorating is WAY more fun than the construction.

Typeset DSP, Picture Perfect, some Washi, and some Ribbon make for a nice little touch, and the sequins glam it up a bit... and in the end, it's the perfect mix of fabulous and rustic and so fun.  I hope you enjoy this fun idea - it's such a package a small gift or a gift card!

Cheers,
Shannon

Nutty Birthday Gift Card Holder

Need a gift in a hurry?  This quick and easy gift card holder will take less time than it takes to choose the design on the gift card to go inside.

It's so simple - I promise.  A strip of cardstock (Crumb Cake for me!) folded, stamped with Hardwood and heat set, and embellished.

Dead easy, I swear!

Recognize that little strip of Elegant Eggplant patterned paper?  It's a leftover from the October Paper Pumpkin!

Thanks for popping in today - make it a great one!

(My link generator is apparently taking the day off today - for supplies, visit my Online Stampin' Up Store by clicking the link on the right side of my blog.  The stamp sets used are Hardwood, Acorny Thank You, and Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Embellishments are Watercolor Paper, Burlap Ribbon, Thick Bakers' Twine in Very Vanilla, Project Life Corner Rounder punch, and the tiny wood asterisk is from the This Is The Life Project Life accessory kit.  Ink colour is Cajun Craze.  Thanks!)

Bombs Away - Birthday Gift Card Holder

It seems like ages ago that Stampin' Up started releasing monthly photopolymer stamp sets - initially, these sets were only available while supplies last.  Some sold out in record time - others, like Bombs Away, are still around!

Bombs Away was one of the first photopolymer sets released, and it was an instant favourite of mine.  It was the first set I remember where Stampin' Up started to push the envelope into snarky sentiments, grungy designs, and stuff that was definitively more masculine and youthful than many of their previous offerings.  I was IN. LOVE.  I bought Bombs Away immediately because I was certain it would be sold out in a flash.

It wasn't.  It STILL isn't.  And I seriously don't understand why.  This set is awesome.

I whipped up a quick gift card holder this weekend with Bombs Away and Go Wild DSP.  So quick and easy to do - why not make a gift card extra special the next time you've got one to give?

Bombs Away is an easy miss - not in the catalog, old enough that it doesn't get featured often - so I wanted to make sure it's crossed your path!  If it's not in your collection yet, WHY NOT?!

Cheers!

BYOP - Quick and Easy!

It's late and I'm busy and exhausted, so what better time for a five-minute project?  Need a gift in a hurry?  Whip up a little envelope from your favourite DSP, stamp it with the BYOP stamp set, and throw some cash inside.  BAM!  You're done!  Now wasn't that easy??

BYOP was one of my immediate must-haves from the Occasions Catalog.  I just love this set - so fun, so easy, and so versatile!

Our retiring item today?  That fabulous DSP!  It's from the Sweet Taffy series and will only be available while supplies last.  Click the links below to shop online in your jammies tonight.

I'm working three different jobs right now (four, if you count being a stay-at-home mom!) and I'm SO busy and SO tired - stamping is my sanity right now!  I might be a little less frequent in coming weeks but I'll be sharing some fab projects in the coming days.  Stay tuned!  XOXO

"Cheers" - Glam Gift Card Holder

Gift cards are the perfect go-to when you need an easy, one-size-fits-all gift.  I love giving them and I love receiving them; however, there's something special about adding a little bit of handmade packaging to personalize it!

This super-easy gift card holder comes together in about two seconds flat.  Then you can embellish as you see fit, tuck in the gift, and bang!  You're out the door!  I designed this one with a wedding in mind - I love the "Cheers" sentiment from the Good Greetings set - it's a host award (absolutely free!) for parties of $350+, but only until the end of this month!

Want to make one yourself?  Easy peasy!
1.  Cut your cardstock to 4-1/2 x 7-1/2".  Round the corners.
2.  Putting the long side against the top of your score board, score at 2-1/4" and 5-1/2".
3.  Fold up the bottom and adhere the sides with sticky strip.
4.  Fold down the top, and add a belly band.
5.  Decorate and you're done!

See you again tomorrow!
