TGIFC39: Feelin' the Love!

Hello friends!  I'm back for one final TGIF Challenges blog post as a member of the design team.  As you may have seen two weeks ago, I've resigned from the TGIF Design Team as of the end of this month, so this will be my last one!

This week, we have a theme challenge... because V-Day is right around the corner!

Theme challenges are a lot of fun because everyone's project ends up being so different; I love seeing the variety in both the design team and the challenger entries!  

Sheltering Tree was calling my name this week; a simple watercolour wash on the background, a pink and red tree, and a few easy embellishments made this simple card a little bit of lovely.

The little wooden heart from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit is my favourite touch!

TGIFC37 - Sketch Challenge

Hello, friends, and happy Friday!  It's time to share another TGIF Challenge!  I've decided to resign from the TGIF team as of the end of this month, so this will be one of my last...  but it's a fun one!  

I've always had a soft spot for sketch challenges.  No secret there!  

I flipped the image and wanted to create a starry sky as the focal point.  The sweet couple from the Beautiful Ride set (brand new in Occasions 2016!) sitting on a hill completed the look!  Everything was created with heat embossing and sponges... lots and lots and lots of sponges.

TGIFC34 - Holly Jolly

Happy Friday!  This has been a long and stressful week and I am SO happy to see the weekend!  I kind of goofed this challenge in a big way, but it worked out in my favour.

See, here's the problem.  This week's challenge is... Holly Jolly!  

So cute, right?  Well apparently I got a little excited last month and I mixed up White Christmas with Holly Jolly Christmas... so this card was ready WAY in advance.  What can I say?  I love a little Holly Jolly! 

Holly Jolly to me is bright, fun, festive and cheerful and that's exactly what I wanted to accomplish with this card.  I hope you love it!
