Tiny Fire - Birthday Banners & 25 Again

Hello friends!

March was a month of birthdays for the dudes in my extended family, which means there were a LOT of cards for the boys that went out the door! I wanted to share one of my favourites today.

This adorable card makes use of a simple design, brought to life by our fabulous Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. Blends are such an easy way to add colour, dimension, and fun to stamped images! On this card, I've used them to colour our over-the-hill grey candles and add a pop of flame to the top of them.

And that adorable sentiment? It's hiding in Birthday Banners - and it's SO FUNNY!

Never Too Old - Broadway Birthday

Hello friends! I'm back with another card I've had socked away in the queue - and thank goodness for that queue, because once again I'm SICK! The last few months have been a germ factory up in here. I've got strep throat again - if you're keeping track, this is the fourth time since the end of June. One more and I get a bingo! I haven't had much time or inclination to craft as I've been lazing about and trying to feel better.

Today's card was a request from a customer. I have a number of ladies who regularly buy my cards, and a few more who put in a special order for a special occasion. I love these orders - they keep me on my toes and give me something to work toward.

Today's card was for a gent's milestone 80th birthday.

I was on a roll of using Blueberry Bushel the night I created this, and I love the end result! It's such a lovely, rich blue. Paired with gold and Balmy Blue, it masculine with a bit of glam perfect for a special occasion.

Blank and Beautiful - Sea of Textures

Hello friends! Just a quick pop-in on this lovely Saturday morning before I hit the ground running - lots of stuff on my plate today!

Today's card is another blank beauty. I'm finding more and more lately that I like creating blank cards, either to fill with my own handwritten wishes or to stamp a sentiment inside when the time comes - that way, they're fit for any occasion!

You're Retro - Free Cake

Hello friends, and happy Monday!

Today's card is a blast of colour, patterns, and a retro boombox - how fun is that?

That adorable stereo comes to us from Free Cake, one of the really fun birthday sets in the 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Love it! And how fresh are those new colours - Granny Apple Green on the ribbon, Gorgeous Grape on the polka dotted DSP, and Coastal Cabana on the boom box. So bright and lovely!

I'm off to run a couple of errands with my kiddo before heading into work this evening - have a wonderful day, enjoy this gorgeous heat, and see you again soon!
