Best Gents - Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Hello friends, and welcome to Fancy Friday, where some past and present Stampin' Up! Artisans get together for a very fancy blog hop!  We've added some new friends this month, which is so exciting!  Whether you're coming from Mindy's blog or starting here with me, Shannon Lane in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, welcome to the hop!  Get comfy, grab a glass of iced tea, and let us inspire you.  Are you ready for this month's theme?

We are letting the True Gentleman Suite be our guide - rich regal colours of Tranquil Tide, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, and Vanilla, and all things masculine.

I wanted to get one more use out my most favourite masculine stamp set, Guy Greetings, so I grabbed it right away for this challenge.

Doesn't it pair so nicely with the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper?  Unfortunately after this card was created, the paper sold out - oh no! - but you can still remake this card with some different paper!  Those are the perils of the retiring list, right?!

Speaking of retiring, I'm SO sad to see Guy Greetings on the retiring list - and if you have any men in your life at all, this set is a must-have!  It's sailing off into the sunset come June 1st, or when supplies run out - whichever comes first!  If Guy Greetings is on your wishlist, it's time to drop everything and rush over to my Online Canadian Stampin' Up! Store - you don't want to miss out!  It's out with the old so we can be in with the new - we need to make room for the new catalogue!

Speaking of the new catalogue, it's right around the corner - and I want to help you stock your craft room for CHEAP!  Pre-orders for Product Shares are available now, meaning you can order a huge variety of ribbon, Designer Series Paper, and embellishments for a fraction of the price!

What is a Product Share?  It's a great way to get a huge selection of Stampin' Up! ribbon, embellishments, and Designer Series Paper for a fraction of the price.  You'll be able to stretch your crafting dollars and get more bang for your buck!

Who can participate?  Anyone with a Canadian shipping address!  Are you local to Calgary, Alberta?  You can even pick up from my southeast Calgary home for quicker service and no shipping fees.

This year's shares include...

Everyone's favourite - ribbon shares!  With dozens of fabulous ribbons to choose from, ribbon shares are a great way to get one or two yards of everything for the same price as a handful of rolls.  It's a HUGE savings and an even better selection!  Click here for details on ribbon shares and sign-up information.

Do you love having a huge variety of Designer Series Paper but never use an entire pack?  DSP Shares are perfect for you!  You'll receive a quarter of EVERY new Designer Series Paper in the catalogue, for a quarter of the price - huge savings and even bigger selection!  Click here for details on Designer Series Paper shares and sign-up information.

Does bling scream your name?  Get your hands on MORE bling for LESS buck with Embellishment Shares!  You'll receive hundreds of peel-and-stick embellishments for a fraction of the price, or you can dazzle with 3D embellishments on all of your cards - without having to choose which ones to spend your money on.  You get 'em all, and you'll pay a lot less!  Click here for details on Embellishment Shares and sign-up information.

And - new this year!  I'm so excited to launch the Colour Revamp Club!

Do YOU have a crush on colour too?  Stampin' Up! is treating us to a colour revamp this year, meaning it is out with the old, tired colours and in with brand new colours and returning favourites!  This eight-month club will ensure you receive a Classic Ink Pad, Stampin' Write Marker, and four sheets of 8 1/2 x 11" cardstock in ALL of the 16 new and returning colours, PLUS a $25 Stampin' Up! product credit, all for just $36 a month!  You won't want to miss out.  Click here for details, terms and conditions, and sign-up information for the Colour Revamp Club.

Dapper Day - Truly Tailored

Hello friends!  I hope you're having a lovely week!

If you subscribe to my newsletter, you'll have been the first to know that the annual Retiring List was released on Monday - it's that time of year again, where I say goodbye to old favourites and make room for new Stampin' Up! products in my craft room!  For you, though, the retirement list should mean one thing only - it's time to stock up on favourite colours, stamp sets, and more, before they're gone forever!

Today's card is packed FULL of retiring products, which is funny considering I made it before the list went live!  On this card you'll see two retiring colours, retiring papers, a retiring stamp set, and retiring Bakers' Twine - not much here is sticking around!  Ironically, though - wouldn't this make a great retirement card?!  With a great sentiment like this, though, it would also fit for Father's Day, Birthday, or just a general card to let your dad know you're thinking of him.

Masculine cards can be tricky to make, but the Truly Tailored stamp set and coordinating True Gentleman Designer Series Paper has got your back.  These classic prints have been jazzed up for a modern feel, perfect for any dude in your life, and the stamp set is packed full of great sentiments.  It's one you'll want to add to your collection for sure.

Most supplies on the retiring list are only available while supplies last, and they've already started selling out!  Check out the links below, make a shopping list, and head over to my Online Canadian Stampin' Up! Store to get shopping while selection is still available!

World's Greatest Dad - World's Best Trophy

Good morning, friends!

I hope your weekend went well and your Monday is off to a lovely start.  We are finally (FINALLY is an understatement!) having a massive melt of all of the snow we had this winter - it was record-destroying and the snowbanks in front of the houses were over six feet high.  It was extraordinary!  It's been lovely to see the ground again, and - touch wood - our basement has stayed dry so far!

Today's project is looking forward a little bit... now that we've changed the clocks and the temperatures are warming up a bit, I'm starting to think about spring.  It seems so far still, but I know it will be here in the blink of an eye!

I wanted to create something using World's Best Trophy, one of the adorable sets from the annual catalogue.  I've had this one for months and to date, I'd only used one stamp from it.  I need to give it some ink before the tides of change roll in - I'd hate to see it retire without ever being used!

The beautiful True Gentleman Designer Series Paper was on my desk, and it led me to create a Father's Day card.  The colours in the paper were my guide for this rich Night Of Navy, Tranquil Tide, and Crushed Curry combination.

This card is another old one.  It's been sitting in the queue for a few weeks.  Truth be told, I've been in a HUGE creative slump lately.  While I normally joke that my hobby is "gluing paper to other paper to make prettier paper," lately, it's been more like "gluing paper to other paper and then throwing the whole thing in the garbage."  Sometimes, that's just the way it goes.  I forced myself into my craft room this weekend - I've been avoiding it more often than not lately - and though it took about three hours, I finally made something I didn't hate.  And then I made another the next day.  And then I made two more.  So hopefully the creative juju is starting to come back... I can hope!  Sometimes you just have to persevere.

In other news,  available now, you'll find this month's CrushOnColour Project Pack, featuring the Bird Banter stamp set - you won't want to miss it!

You won't want to miss this adorable set of SIX cards, free with your supplies purchase (click for details) and designed exclusively for my Project Pack subscribers.  This DIY Card Kit is so much fun, packed with pops of colour and quirky touches.  You'll love it!

See you again soon - have a fabulous day!

Rad Dad - Custom Tee Father's Day

Hello and happy Sunday, my friends!  It's a long weekend here in Canada, and my bestie and I have been taking advantage of the extra time by sewing up a storm.  My blog posts have been late the last couple of days because I've been preoccupied!  Whoops!  But late or not, we are still marching on with our month of retiring features - every single day!

Today's cards feature one of my favourite retiring bundles - Custom Tee.  Come May 31, this stamp set and the coordinating framelits will be gone, and I know you won't want to miss out!  With Father's Day being just a few weeks away, I decided to make a couple of cards for the Rad Dad in your life - whether that's your husband, your dad, your grandpa, a brother, or just a friend you want to recognize as a great dad!

Some dads are casual, so the tee-shirt fits them well.  That's my hubby, for sure.

And some dads are fancier, so ties are more fitting - when I was a kid, this was definitely my dad!

Either way, Custom Tee has your back.  It's got you covered.  Okay, that's all the tee-shirt related puns I can think of for now...

But check this out - this is important, folks!

The Custom Tee bundle consists of two things - the Custom Tee stamp set, which is on sale for $24.00, and the T-Shirt Builder Framelits, which are on sale for $19.80.  Are you doing the math?  Because that totals $43.80, which is a savings of almost $15.00 over buying the bundle!  For this reason, I have NOT linked the bundle below, like I usually do - you're better off buying the Framelits and stamps separately, and saving that $15.00 for other things... like ribbon, embellishments, and DSP... and don't forget, retiring items are only available while supplies last.  And as of tomorrow, that includes stamps.  Don't miss out.

Speaking of which - make sure to enter this month's host code at check-out for a FREE package of ribbon, embellishments, and DSP in the mail from me!  You don't need to win, you don't need to be lucky - just place an online order of ANY size, enter this host code, and extra goodies are yours.

Thanks so much for checking back in today - see you tomorrow for our final week of retiring features.  The new catalogue goes LIVE on June 1st!

Cheers,
Shannon
