Flowering Fields

Good morning!  Can you believe how quickly March is rushing by?  I can't believe Sale-A-Bration is almost over!

Everyone's favourite promo is only around for another 11 days... we will soon be saying goodbye to some amazing sets, and you'll want to get your hands on them before they go.  And the best part?  They are all absolutely FREE with any $60 retail order.  So awesome, right?

Today's feature stamp set is Flowering Fields, a beautiful collections of blossoms.  Better yet, it also has a coordinating DSP - also free!  You'll definitely want to add both of these to your collection!

I hope you have a wonderful day, and I will be back tomorrow with a birthday card to share.

Cheers,
Shannon

Occasions 2016 International Blog Hop

Hello friends!  Thank you so much for joining me today for another International Stampin' Up Blog Hop!  You may be starting here or may have come from Tami White; either way, please use the list at the bottom of the post to hop around the world with all of us - we have an extremely talented group of papercrafters today and you won't want to miss anything!   You are presently in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with me, and I'm so glad you're stopping by to visit!

We are coming together today to feature some of the fabulous products in the Occasions 2016 catalog, and I wanted to showcase the FREE items you can earn right now during Sale-A-Bration.  With every $60 CAD purchase, you can choose an item from the exclusive Sale-A-Bration catalog absolutely free!

I have a confession:  my bestie is on holidays this week, and while stopping by her house to let her dogs out, I totally raided her stamp stash.  One of the sets I stole borrowed was "What I Love," a small and simple floral set that I definitely overlooked; it's not something I got for myself, and honestly, I didn't really notice it in the catalog.  I thought it would be a great challenge!

That flower was begging to be watercoloured, and Watermelon Wonder has been calling my name.  I started with the first card and then decided to do two more - in Delightful Dijon and Blackberry Bliss - to make a little set!

The Watermelon version is definitely my favourite, but that little flower packs a big punch, doesn't it??  I love how all of these turned out!

Thank you SO much for coming by today and checking out what we've got on deck!

If you started somewhere in the middle, here's the blog roll - make sure to check out the fabulous designers today and leave them some love in the comments section!

Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team Blog Hop: Easter Treat Toppers

Hello friends!  Welcome back to another Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!  You're probably coming from the fabulous Rachel Grandin-Torchet over in France, you've landed here with me, Shannon Lane in Canada, and you'll be en route to see Steffi Helmschrott in Germany after this - talk about a trip around the world!  Please don't hesitate to use the translate button in your browser to see what everyone is up to - with 20 designers from all around the world, we have a few languages being used, and I'd hate for you to miss anything!

This week, we had the choice of two fantastic stamp sets to work with - and the Birthday Blooms was top of my list!  I was so excited to create a beautiful card with it, and some sweet packaging for Easter goodies.

Since sweets are always at the front of my mind... let's start with the cookie packaging!

One of my favourite things about the Petite Cafe treat bags is that it is SO easy to fancy them up, and you can do it all in advance and have the toppers ready to go when you pack your leftovers.  I love making a fold-over banner-style tag and once you fill the bag, just slip it on and staple.  Your treats get taken to the next level with style, and it's done as soon as they're packed!  I thought this would be a nice way to send homemade baking with your dinner guests, so I popped a "Happy Easter" banner on - this is the sentiment from Easter Lamb, and it stands alone very well without the lamb!

Now onto the card...

I fell in love with the Birthday Bouquet DSP, and I was dying to use that big beautiful flower as an embellishment.  It fits a card beautifully and comes together with the other patterns to make an all-occasions card anyone would be pleased to receive.  My favourite part of this card is the dotty-embossed circle; it's one of the cards from our Memories In The Making kit from the Sale-A-Bration catalog (free with a $60 order!), and I've sponged it lightly and punched a circle out of it to make a simple but eye-catching embellishment.

I'm sure Steffi has something amazing up her sleeve (as always!) so you'll want to click the button here and check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping in today - I really appreciate that you take the time to come and see me!  Have a fantastic day!

Cheers,
Shannon
