May All Your Tomorrows - Global Design Project #157

Good morning, friends! If you're coming from the GDP blog, welcome to Calgary, Canada! I'm here today with a super special blog post for Global Design Project #157.

Global Design Project isn't typically on my roster of blog posts, but after entering last month's colour challenge, I was asked to be a guest designer for this month's. So fun!

Of course, I was happy to join the GDP team again and work with this gorgeous colour combination of Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, and Grapefruit Grove.

The first thing I made with this card was the sentiment panel - that was an easy way to work in all three colours and start with a focal point, and then I could build from there. Adding layers upon layers, I was able to pile on lots of colour with very little white space - my favourite!

I love the look of the traditional, elegant sentiment panel with the modern and clean polka dot DSP. It's a fun way to combine things, isn't it? Grow a Wonderful Life - Abstract Expressions

Hello friends! Happy mid-week - I'm just wrapping up my work week and writing this post in the wee hours of the morning before I go to bed!

Today's feature is a whole lot out of my comfort zone, but it's nothing I can't add some bright, fun colours too! This beautiful stamp set is called Abstract Expressions, and it's full of soft elements that look like they've been painted, so you can layer and create to your heart's content!

I've paired it with the coordinating Garden Impressions Designer Series paper to create this bright and beautiful wedding card, perfect for a modern couple. And aren't those little whisps of ribbon lovely?

Inside, I've added a coordinating sentiment to complete the card:

Best Wishes - Bokeh Dots meets Stitched All Around

Hello friends! This week is wrapping up again, and after another bout of strep throat (the third in six weeks!) I've managed to mostly stay on track, with two live videos, some instagramming, and a blog post... but there's still more up my sleeve for you! As I mentioned yesterday on my Facebook Live, I had such grand plans for this summer - both with family time and my business - and everything has fallen by the wayside because of this ongoing illness. It's been a mess! I'm trying to cram it all into the last few weeks of August now. :)

Today's cards is a beauty, if I do say so myself - it seems I'm really turning a corner lately to clean and simple. Well, sometimes. I'm still whipping up chaos in my craft room! Just wait until you see what's scheduled for Fancy Friday at the end of the month - it's the epitome of more is MORE!

In the meantime, let's meet Bokeh Dots and a new favourite Designer Series Paper.

This card reminds me of driftwood and seaglass. The subtly textured Designer Series Paper is from the Petal Promenade collection. The fronts of the sheets are gorgeous photorealistic flowers, and the back has these gorgeous textures. I'm just in love with it! I've paired it with a little swatch of the star stamp from the beautiful Bokeh Dots stamp set - this is a total must-have. And last but not least, a few touches of silver, including sequins, stars, tinsel, ribbon, foil paper, and an embossed sentiment from Stitched All Around. I love that a simple card like this with a "Best Wishes" sentiment can work for a congratulations, a birthday, a wedding, or plenty of other occasions.
