Sweet Birthday - Cycle Celebration

Happy Monday!  I'm so excited for this week - we've got a provincial election here tomorrow, and (nerd alert!) elections are my Superbowl.  Pair that with beautiful spring weather, and... oh, yes... did I mention that Tuesday is our pre-order day from the BRAND NEW Stampin' Up Catalog?!   Eeek!  That's the REAL reason... the other stuff is just gravy.

But before the new catalog arrives in June, we still have almost a month to say goodbye to our favourite retiring stamp sets!  I've been posting retirement features for a couple of weeks and will keep doing so until June - make sure you catch these fabulous items before they're gone.  Today?  Cycle Celebration, and another one of my favourite retiring In-Colours, Baked Brown Sugar!

This colour combo - Baked Brown Sugar, Real Red, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White - this easy-peasy card.  As long as you've got some patience for fussy-cutting, this one isn't hard at all!

If you saw last week, I was in the middle of painting my office - what a nightmare!  When you have your hobby and your work all crammed in to one 10x10' room, painting is a challenge!  Moving out of the room wasn't an option - with a three-year-old at home, my craft supplies would be redecorating the walls and floor of our house in no time if they were accessible to him!  My husband and I spent the week shifting, and painting... then shifting back, and painting... then shifting again, and painting more... Oi.  Never again!  Anyway, it's a beautiful perfect grey and I'm adding touches of aqua and pink to go with it.  It will be lovely!  More on that later this week.

See you again tomorrow!

  1. What are you looking to preorder? I'm not sure yet myself! I absolutely love this card tho! Never thought to just ink up a few dots to "make it rain" down the card more! :) I wanna move to canada. I'll help paint your craft room and our boys can play while we stamp!
