Congratulations, Graduate!

Today, I'm playing along at TGIF Challenges!  This week's challenge is Graduation.  Click the banner below to check out the fabulous design team inspiration and entries from some seriously talented stampers!

When I think graduation, the combination of gold, black, and white immediately comes to mind.  I saw this beautiful iPhone case with a herringbone pattern in those colours, and that's where I needed to go!

I used the Chevron Punch to cut the pieces, then cut them in half and started piecing together a random herringbone pattern.  Within a couple of rows, thing started to go awry... I ended up trimming it down to a column and using it as an element.  :)

The "Bravo" stamp set lends itself perfectly to any sort of celebration, and I decided to use lots of the stamps to create a subway-art-style background.  Throw in a few more elements with gold foil, sequins, and vellum, and my creation came together!

Are you playing along this week?  There's still time!  Check out the TGIF Challenges blog for more!

(And, per usual:  today's retiring feature is the beautiful Brushed Gold Cardstock and the fabulous Starburst Framelits!  Click the links below to shop my online Canadian Stampin' Up store!)

Have a fabulous day!
