Birthday Superstar

Hello friends, and happy Monday!  I hope your week is off to a lovely start.

Today's card is from a few weeks ago, but because it was sent off in the mail for a special little lady's birthday, I wanted to save it.  The recipient should be the first to see it, after all!  It's a fun amalgamation of two great stamp sets for kids; Superstar and Shooting Star.  Both sets are filled with bright, bold images that are perfect for kids!

Shooting Star

I constantly go back and forth between which is my favourite... I love the adorable line drawings in Shooting Star, but the fantastic starburst and the stars in Superstar are way too cute!  Combined, though, they are just perfection.

This card was made for my cousin's daughter; I wanted something that wasn't overly girly and was a little bit non-traditional.  The colour pallet of Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, and Wild Wasabi is girly without being gag-worthy (ha!) and the paper airplanes add a fun touch of whimsy.  So cute, right?!  And if I'm making a card for a kid, you'd better believe their age is going on it... it's such a big deal to the little ones, and I want to acknowledge their milestones!

Carrying on with our list of retiring products, BOTH of these stamp sets will be leaving us at the end of May... as are the amazing Stars Framelits, and the classic White Grosgrain Ribbon.  Don't miss out - they're a great staple to have on hand for kids, birthdays, and fun cards for any age.  Hop over to my Online Canadian Stampin' Up! store to shop now - and don't forget that May orders using the host code (JX26H4GM) will receive a grab bag of CURRENT papers, ribbons, and embellishments as a bonus.  Eek!

I've got retiring features (and sneak peeks!) for you every day this month, so make sure to come back tomorrow - Sunday through Friday will feature retiring favourites, and Saturdays will be for Sneak Peeks of the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue!

See you again soon - I can't wait!
