Hey friends! Welcome back to Fancy Friday - I figured I may as well join my fancy friends for my first blog post in a while. I'm happy to be back!
Summer is here, and we are feeling the tropics here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada! It's been a hot one here, but if it's not so warm in your neck of the woods, we're about to take you to the tropics with this month's theme. Check it out!
Lush greenery, exotic animals, and rich colours await - get cozy and join us on our hop! Whether you're starting here or arriving from the last blog, thanks for joining us for Fancy Friday!
For my project, I chose to work with DSP instead of stamps! Why? WELL, let me tell you! In July, select Designer Series Paper - including Animal Expedition and Tropical Escape - are on sale!
You won't want to miss out on this sale, and it ends July 31 - click here to see which papers are on sale and get shopping!
Without further adieu, however, here's what I whipped up with two of our fabulous Designer Series Paper collections.
The rhinoceros and his little birdie friend from the Animal Expedition DSP make the perfect focal point for a tropical card, and adding some lush foliage from Tropical Escape make everything look so rich and beautiful!
The colour pallet here of Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green, and Berry Burst reminds me of the waxy leaves and bright blossoms of a hibiscus bush. So pretty!
Let's hop over to the other side of the world, where my friend Susan in New Zealand is escaping winter with this tropical theme!
