Display Stamper Blog Hop - Day TEN!

Hello again, and welcome to the very last day of our ten-day Display Stamper Blog Hop!  I'm so glad you're joining us - if it's your first time, you may want to go back and see what you've missed.  And if you've been with us from the beginning, thanks for sticking with it - I hope you've been delighted with the sneak peek of new products to come from Stampin' Up!

I decided to save the best for last: today's project was my all-time favourite from my display board.

The idea for this banner came to me while lying in bed late one night.  I made sure to jot it down - I didn't want to forget! - but I had one major problem:  I don't own the Large Letters Framelits!  I tried the first panel with an alphabet stamp set, but the letters were too small and too child-like to work.  I couldn't just give up, though - I was bound and determined to make this happen!

I posted on our Stampin' Up! team page and asked if any of my local teammates had some dies I could borrow, and in return, I'd whip them up a dozen cupcakes of their choice from scratch.  I love to bake and I make dang good cupcakes, if I do say so myself... and soon, I had a deal.  Big, huge, mega-thanks to my teammate Krista for helping make my vision a reality - especially when I couldn't tell her what I was up to!  Being a display stamper is top-secret business!

This banner showcases the Wood Texture DSP so wonderfully; I think it has almost every single print on here somewhere!  Seeing it all together like this gives you a wonderful impression of the versatility of this stack, but also the cohesion; each of the prints is very different, and they work wonderfully on their own or together as a group.  It also uses a ton of new ribbon... I spy Classic Woven Ribbon in Crumb Cake, Finely Woven Ribbon in Powder Pink, Mini Sequin Trim in Gold, and Baker's Twine in Flirty Flamingo, along with some returning favourites, like 1/8" Metallic Ribbon in Gold, Burlap Ribbon, Very Vanilla Lace Trim, and Natural Trim in Gold.

And the embellishments?  Well... what's new here?  So much!  We have stamps from Wood Words, dies from the Wood Crate Framelits, and Corrugated Elements aplenty.  You're going to love these new additions!

I hope you enjoy this project as much as I enjoyed making it - it was a labour of love but I'm so happy with how it turned out!

Let's hop over to Tanya for the very last time...

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for following along with our Display Stamper Blog Hop.  It was a huge honour to create these samples for Stampin' Up! and On Stage Local in Calgary, Alberta, and it was a delight to share them with you!

A note about my product list below: as the brand new items are currently unreleased, I'm unable to link to them in my online store.  I recommend jotting down the names of your favourite items so you can check back when the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalogue goes live on June 1st!  Others - like the Banners Framelits and Confetti Hearts Border Punch - are retiring and only available while supplies last.  Hurry!  You don't want to miss out!

Cheers,
Shannon

  1. This banner is gorgeous! I can see how much work you put into it to create it. There are so many elements, and I'd love to incorporate some in my cards if you don't mind.
