Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team blog hop: Bold & Bright Lanterns

Hello friends!  Welcome back for another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop!

Today's card is a total homage to my blog name - because I swear, I really DO have a crush on colour!  I love bold brights, unexpected combinations, and mixing pallets.  Colour just makes me swoon and playing with it brings me so much joy.  This Moroccan card does just that; I wanted to pull my favourite bright tones, and combine them with this dark and traditional style of stamp set.  Everything is SO versatile and you shouldn't feel limited by the suite coordinates.  Don't like the rustic red and earthy yellows and browns?  Then baby, don't use 'em!

The bright combo here totally changes the look of the suite.  Imagine how it would look in each pallet - soft subtles?  Just lovely.  Nothing but neutrals?  So rich.  Here, I pulled colours from each of the families - In Colours, Regals, Brights, Subtles, and Neutrals - and put them all together.

A couple of the fun details on this card include the trim, cut from the Flourishes dies, peeking out of the focal piece, and a soft splatter behind the lanterns.  And personally, I love the little flags of washi behind the sentiment.

The details can really make a card sometimes.  Don't be afraid to fit in little bits, cut them down to size, and add a touch of a little something extra on your cards.

Let's hop over to Germany and visit Steffi - I'm sure she'll have a lovely creation for us!

Thanks so much for joining us today!

Cheers,
Shannon

More Thoughtful Branches!

Welcome back for another "bonus" blog hop from the Artisan Design Team!

Today is a SUPER exciting day for Stampin' Up! fans - the release of the Thoughtful Branches bundle!  You've probably seen tons of samples with this fabulous set and are dying to get your hands on it - and we have another 80 samples for you today!

My first one is a little bit clean, a little bit classy, and a whole lot of christmas...

The tiny sprig makes such a beautiful wreath!  Alternating Old Olive and Garden Green brings some nice depth to it, and adding the sweet bird and glam gold ornaments ups the "wow" factor on this simple card.

I love those details...

Next up, an easy-peasy gift bag, perfect for any occasion.  I love the simple patterns in the Foxy Friends DSP, and Smoky Slate pairs so beautifully with Mint Macaron and Daffodil Delight.

Use the Fringe Scissors to create custom coloured crinkle to fill your bags!

Get the Limited time Thoughtful Branches bundle before it's gone!  If you earned in any coupons during the July "Bonus Days" promotion, the Thoughtful Branches is a great choice to use it on.  My Canadian friends, I'd love it if you used the links below to order from my online Stampin' Up! store.

Let's hop over to Steffi in Germany and see her fabulous creations.

Thank you so much for joining me today - I hope our hop leaves you feeling inspired!

Cheers,
Shannon

Snappy Birthday

Hello friends, and happy Monday!  I hope my Canadian friends are enjoying their long weekend!  My mom has spend the weekend with us before she moves across the country; we've had a wonderful visit and I'm going to miss her so much!

I wanted to hop online tonight and share a quick card -  I love the "Pun Intended" birthday card and wanted to whip something up with it and use the "Superstar" set to add a punch of fun.

Blue, yellow, and red is my favourite colour combo.  I love switching up the tones but this classic, bold, primary combination is always perfection.

Have a wonderful day!

Cheers,
Shannon
