Oh, Hello! Confetti Celebration DSP

Oh, hello!  Fancy seeing you here.

A couple of weeks ago, I was helping a friend clean up her scrap room and I may or may not have snuck a few pieces of DSP out of there (and some stickers, and some gold cardstock... it's okay, she knows!)

In that stack was a bit of the Confetti Celebration DSP that I was just dying to use.  It's so bright and cheerful and wonderful!  It's also retiring, so you'll want to make sure to grab it before its gone!

I chopped it all up and created a super-simple and fun card.  Seriously, simple.  Whip it up in five minutes and call it a day!  That Handheld Stapler is my go-to for attaching fussy embellishments without the fuss.

But it doesn't stop there - also retiring?  The Starburst Framelits!  And on top of that, the Handheld Stapler and Hello You Thinlits are part of the Occasions Catalog - will they stay?  Will they go?  Don't miss out!

You'll want to make sure to pop back tomorrow as I'll be (finally!) share my December Daily Project Life album - the Hello December Project Life kit IS still available, so it's not too soon to get ready for next year!
See you soon!

Triple-Up Thursday: Painted Petals

Hello again for this week's Triple-Up Thursday!  Is this your first one?  Triple-Up Thursday is a weekly feature where I create three 3x3" cards with minimal supplies - always ONE stamp set and FIVE colours, with minimal embellishments.

This week's feature is the beautiful Painted Petals stamp set from the Occasions 2015 catalog, and our colour pallet is a fabulous mix of new in-colours, old in-colours, and regular colours: Calypso Coral and Old Olive from the regular collection, Blackberry Bliss from the 2014-2016 In-Colours, and Tip Top Taupe and Delightful Dijon from the 2015-2017 In-Colours!

Painted Petals has a huge mix of stamps - sentiments, flowers and leaves, and geometrics.  It's a great go-to for whatever you need!

Those first two cards use the exact same flower stamp, both times in Calypso Coral - the first was stamped off to lighten the colour, and the second was sponged with Blackberry Bliss to add even more colour.  Your technique can totally change the look of an image!

I hope you enjoyed this week's feature and a peek at two more of our brand-new In-Colours!  I'm saving my personal favourite for last - Mint Macaron!  Eek!

See you again soon!

&happy - Wedding Layout

It's almost embarrassing to share today's project - this is the first thing I've done with any of our wedding photos, and our 8th anniversary is next month!  Sigh.  But hey, there's no time like the present!  This is my favourite photo from our wedding day so it's the one I chose to make a layout.

It came together in a flash using the Stacked With Love DSP Stack from the Occasions catalog - only guaranteed available until June 2!  Even that big beautiful ampersand was cut directly off a piece of DSP.  The whole layout is on a leftover piece of Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP, my favourite Sale-A-Bration item from this year, so it has a beautiful polka dot pattern embossed on the background.

A bit of ink spritzing on the background and a quick diecut from the Hello You Thinlits and we have arrived!  Now why did I procrastinate for so long?!

I hope this motivates you to get out some old photos and do something lovely with them!

Have a fabulous day!

Introducing the 2015-2017 In-Colours!

We are exactly TWO short weeks away from the new catalog, and I'm so excited to start sharing some of the new items with you!  As we've been doing, I will also be featuring retiring items, so things will be mixed until the launch of the new catalog - fresh and fabulous, and get-it-before-it's-gone!

Today's card is introducing two of the new 2015-2017 In-Colours!  I'm SUPER in love with them - two bright and fresh tones, a beautiful neutral, fabulous pastel mint and rich gold.  I've been mixing and matching all week and have some fabulous combos coming up ahead!

Today's card has Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush - the two bright and fresh tones, which of COURSE I'm going to gravitate toward right away.  It's no secret that I love brights!

This is a total "Shannon card."  When left to my own devices, I'll create a variation on this every time.  Clusters, a mess of colours, banners... all that's missing is the twine!  :)  I've used a touch of the new Dotted Lace Trim in Watermelon Wonder in its place.  :)

So, what's NEW?  Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush inks, Dotted Lace Trim in Watermelon Wonder.

What's OLD?  A few of these items - Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set, bow framelit - are from the Occasions 2015 Catalog, so they are DEFINITELY available until June 2.  They may or may not carry into the new catalog - I can't tell!  :)

I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek!  More coming soon, of course!

BYOP - Quick and Easy!

It's late and I'm busy and exhausted, so what better time for a five-minute project?  Need a gift in a hurry?  Whip up a little envelope from your favourite DSP, stamp it with the BYOP stamp set, and throw some cash inside.  BAM!  You're done!  Now wasn't that easy??

BYOP was one of my immediate must-haves from the Occasions Catalog.  I just love this set - so fun, so easy, and so versatile!

Our retiring item today?  That fabulous DSP!  It's from the Sweet Taffy series and will only be available while supplies last.  Click the links below to shop online in your jammies tonight.

I'm working three different jobs right now (four, if you count being a stay-at-home mom!) and I'm SO busy and SO tired - stamping is my sanity right now!  I might be a little less frequent in coming weeks but I'll be sharing some fab projects in the coming days.  Stay tuned!  XOXO
