Celebrate - All The Good Things

Hello friends!  Happy Monday - I hope your week is off to a dreamy start!  I'm up to my eyeballs in work lately but still trying to check in when I get a chance - I'm writing this on Sunday night before bed!  :)

Today's card is a fun favourite I've had socked away for a few weeks - this one was a special request from a customer, who needed a pretty anniversary card.  I pulled this sentiment from "Labels to Love," which goes to show you can use the holiday stamps all year round!

This card is bathed in metallics, isn't it?! I loved the gold on the koi fish so much that I had to work it into the rest of the card - with four separate gold elements, I hope I didn't go overboard!  Ha!

That's it for me today - I'll be back later this week with another fun project for you!

See you again soon - have a fabulous day!

Always Be There For You - Holiday 2018

Hello friends, and happy Tuesday!  How was your long weekend?  Are you still sweatin' out the gravy?  We had a lovely "Friendsgiving" yesterday - it was so nice to have a wonderful meal with great friends!

Today's card has been a long time coming;  the 2018 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue has arrived, and this card is a collection of some of my favourite new things from Stampin' Up!  Get ready to swoon!

How many new holiday items can you spot?  My top three are here - and they are... (drumroll please!)

1.  The GALVANIZED trend!  Stampin' Up! has brought galvanized metal to this season in a big way, with Galvanized Metallic Paper, Galvanized Buttons, and Galvanized Clips.  You'll love this fantastic new embellishment trend!

2.   Chicken Wire.  Yes, this gorgeous rustic accent is now available to add to your cards and scrapbook pages!  It's a total must-have for the holidays!  It's been so insanely popular that it's temporarily sold out, but don't fret - it'll be back at the end of the month!

3.   The Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Corrugation isn't just for cardboard boxes anymore - you can get in the groove with grooves in your papercrafting, too!  The Corrugated TIEF adds a deep, rich impression to your cardstock, foil, and Designer Series Paper.  How lovely!

These new additions (and plenty more!) can all be found in the beautiful 2018 Holiday Catalogue from Stampin' Up!  You're going to love it!

Need a closer look?  I love the beautiful details in this card.

I'm all about the rustic touches and rich colours - both perfect for fall!

See you again soon - have a fabulous day!

May All Your Tomorrows - Global Design Project #157

Good morning, friends!  If you're coming from the GDP blog, welcome to Calgary, Canada!  I'm here today with a super special blog post for Global Design Project #157.

Global Design Project isn't typically on my roster of blog posts, but after entering last month's colour challenge, I was asked to be a guest designer for this month's. So fun!

Of course, I was happy to join the GDP team again and work with this gorgeous colour combination of Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, and Grapefruit Grove.

The first thing I made with this card was the sentiment panel - that was an easy way to work in all three colours and start with a focal point, and then I could build from there.  Adding layers upon layers, I was able to pile on lots of colour with very little white space - my favourite!

I love the look of the traditional, elegant sentiment panel with the modern and clean polka dot DSP.  It's a fun way to combine things, isn't it?  All of the supplies in this lovely card are available from Stampin' Up! - you'll find links to purchase from my Online Canadian Stampin' Up! Store at the bottom of this post!

In other news, we're down to the final week for this month's CrushOnColour Project Pack!

With the purchase of the supplies for the Little Elephant Project Pack, you'll receive the FREE supplies and instructions to make SIX beautiful cards from the comfort of your own home.  If you've never done an online class with me before, this is a great one to start with - it's bright, fun, and uncomplicated.  Perfect for new and experienced crafters!  Click here for details on how to order, including how to receive FREE Basic Jewels with your purchase!

See you again soon - have a fabulous day!
