Carousel Birthday - It's Your Day!

Good morning, my friends!  You know it's a late night when your early-morning blog post is going up in only two hours...  Whoops!  I swear, I'll get to bed soon.  Well, soon-ish.  Well... maybe.

I've learned to make no promises in that regard.  I am a night-owl through and through.

Today's card is yet another beauty made from Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack and the Carousel Birthday stamp set.  I am a die-hard lover of both of these products, and my heart sunk a little when I saw them on the retiring list.

You can see why, right?  I mean, they're SO CUTE.

Let's get a closer look at those gorgeous papers.

Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack - 142744

They're filled with such wonderful prints - pennants, carousel horses, polka dots, swirls, stripes, and ferris wheels.  Totally adorable.

But the best part?  You know what I'm going to say... they're ON SALE!  My favourite!  That gorgeous stack of paper is only $7.50 right now - that's 15 cents a sheet, my friends!  At that price, you may as well get one for a friend... and possibly a back-up stack, because you'll have used them up in no time.  They're a ton of fun to play with.

We're in that tricky time of year where retiring items (except for stamps!) are only available while supplies last.  It's a great time to shop online, check out all of the deals, and make sure you don't miss out on your retiring favourites.  Links are below - don't be disappointed, my friends!

And don't forget the host code!

If you missed it yesterday - check out a retiring feature on Chase Your Dreams.  Purchase the set by April 30 using the Host Code above and you'll receive the pieces used to make my blog card, plus a video tutorial delivered to your inbox!  Click here to check out that blog post.

Thanks so much for stopping by - now get shopping, my friends, before this gorgeous paper is gone!

Chase Your Dreams - with Video Tutorial!

Hello friends, and happy Monday!  I hope your week is shaping up to a good start.

I've been trying to spend a little bit of extra time with my retiring stamps and make sure they get the love they deserve before they're gone; today's feature is one you may have seen on my Facebook Page or YouTube Channel this weekend.  Today, I'm sharing Chase Your Dreams, one of the fabulous sets in the Stampin' Up 2017 Occasions Catalogue.

This stamp set is gorgeous - and I feel like it's highly underrated!  I haven't seen too many cards made with it, so I wanted to share a video tutorial of a quick and easy card, similar to the one above.  Check out the video I made for you.

It's so easy to whip up cards in a flash with this stamp set, and the beautiful line drawings are perfect for any recipient.  I just love it.

And you know what makes me love it even more?  It's ON SALE!  Heck yeah!
          Chase Your Dreams - 142942 (Wood) / 142945 (Clear)
The wood-mount set (142942) is $31, and the clear-mount (142945) is on sale for an amazing $17.60.  Can you believe that?!  I love this set so much, and I know you will too.

Here's a better look at the card I made in the video...

And if you watched the video, there's no surprise here:  I've got a bonus for you!  Purchase Chase Your Dreams from my Online Stampin' Up Store by April 30, 2017, enter the host code JEYSPYTK, and I'll send you the cardstock, ribbon, die-cuts, and embellishments to make this beautiful card.  You'll be off to a great start with your new favourite stamp set!  Hop on over to my online store, and don't forget the host code!  Following your purchase, you'll receive this video tutorial straight to your inbox so you can make the card with ease on your own schedule.

Speaking of retiring - and also featured in the video above - is Kinda Eclectic, another of my favourites.  I love that I can whip up a card with this stamp set in just a few minutes.  It coordinates perfectly and the images are so universal for anyone.  It's a must-have for your collection.

Kinda Eclectic - 135347 (Wood) / 135350 (Clear)
The retiring list is starting to look more and more depleted by the day; most items are only available while supplies last, and they're going quickly.  Make sure you shop ASAP to avoid disappointment!

Thanks so much for stopping in today - and don't forget about the online tutorial and free bundle of supplies from me!  I can't wait to send it out for you!

Display Stamper Blog Hop - Day TEN!

Hello again, and welcome to the very last day of our ten-day Display Stamper Blog Hop!  I'm so glad you're joining us - if it's your first time, you may want to go back and see what you've missed.  And if you've been with us from the beginning, thanks for sticking with it - I hope you've been delighted with the sneak peek of new products to come from Stampin' Up!

I decided to save the best for last: today's project was my all-time favourite from my display board.

The idea for this banner came to me while lying in bed late one night.  I made sure to jot it down - I didn't want to forget! - but I had one major problem:  I don't own the Large Letters Framelits!  I tried the first panel with an alphabet stamp set, but the letters were too small and too child-like to work.  I couldn't just give up, though - I was bound and determined to make this happen!

I posted on our Stampin' Up! team page and asked if any of my local teammates had some dies I could borrow, and in return, I'd whip them up a dozen cupcakes of their choice from scratch.  I love to bake and I make dang good cupcakes, if I do say so myself... and soon, I had a deal.  Big, huge, mega-thanks to my teammate Krista for helping make my vision a reality - especially when I couldn't tell her what I was up to!  Being a display stamper is top-secret business!

This banner showcases the Wood Texture DSP so wonderfully; I think it has almost every single print on here somewhere!  Seeing it all together like this gives you a wonderful impression of the versatility of this stack, but also the cohesion; each of the prints is very different, and they work wonderfully on their own or together as a group.  It also uses a ton of new ribbon... I spy Classic Woven Ribbon in Crumb Cake, Finely Woven Ribbon in Powder Pink, Mini Sequin Trim in Gold, and Baker's Twine in Flirty Flamingo, along with some returning favourites, like 1/8" Metallic Ribbon in Gold, Burlap Ribbon, Very Vanilla Lace Trim, and Natural Trim in Gold.

And the embellishments?  Well... what's new here?  So much!  We have stamps from Wood Words, dies from the Wood Crate Framelits, and Corrugated Elements aplenty.  You're going to love these new additions!

I hope you enjoy this project as much as I enjoyed making it - it was a labour of love but I'm so happy with how it turned out!

Let's hop over to Tanya for the very last time...

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for following along with our Display Stamper Blog Hop.  It was a huge honour to create these samples for Stampin' Up! and On Stage Local in Calgary, Alberta, and it was a delight to share them with you!

A note about my product list below: as the brand new items are currently unreleased, I'm unable to link to them in my online store.  I recommend jotting down the names of your favourite items so you can check back when the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalogue goes live on June 1st!  Others - like the Banners Framelits and Confetti Hearts Border Punch - are retiring and only available while supplies last.  Hurry!  You don't want to miss out!
