Fancy Friday - In-Colour Challenge

Hello friends!  Welcome to Fancy Friday, a blog hop where some fancy stamping friends share our fancy stamping projects!  We are super excited to share some inspiring colour combinations using the upcoming In-Colours from the Stampin' Up! 2017-2018 Catalogue, being released June 1st.  You're currently with me, Shannon, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada - thanks for stopping by!

The colour combination I chose for this project was using Berry Burst, a rich pinkish-purple, paired with two of my favourites, Bermuda Bay and Old Olive.

I love this fun combo - in fact, I made four cards with it this week!  It is bright, fun, bold, and rich.

This card features a whole bunch of new supplies from the upcoming catalogue, in addition to that beautiful colour.  How many can you spot?  Are you dying to get your hands on this gorgeous stamp set, called Oh So Eclectic, or the beautiful Wood Textures DSP?

I softened the stamped images by spraying the inked-up stamps with water before stamping; I love the blurred, painted look it creates.  So pretty!

If you're dying to get your hands on a copy of the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalogue, give me a shout - my contact info is on the right side of this blog.  Canada only, please!  To view the products currently available online (retiring May 31 and many of them on sale), please visit my Online Canadian Stampin' Up! store.  Don't forget the host code - it's your key to a bundle of free Stampin' Up! supplies in the mail with your order - there's just a few days left to take advantage of this killer deal.  June will be a new special, so be sure not to miss out on May!

Let's hop over to the ever-creative Erica Cerwin and see what she's whipped up this week.

Thank you so much for visiting - I can't wait to share this new Stampin' Up! catalogue with you in a few days!

SImple Sunburst Sayings

Hello friends!  Hear that ticking?  May is coming to a close and time is running out to purchase your retiring favourites!

We've only got a few days left of retiring features, and I know you don't want to miss them.

Today's set is a fun one, called Sunburst Sayings.  There's lots of fab sentiments and design elements in this stamp set!

It's also a SUPER easy set to whip up a quick birthday or thank you card with - and if you're like me, those are the two you always need the most of!

Using the same set of supplies - super basic ones, at that! - and I was able to whip up one of each in just a few minutes.  How easy was that?!

Sunburst Sayings is retiring on May 31st, and the clear-mount set is on sale (yay!) for only $18.70.  Gotta love that!

Don't forget this month's host code with online orders -

Entering the code tells me "yes, I want free stuff!" and I'll be sending a bundle of paper, embellishments, and ribbons your way.  Yay!  Just click the host code button to shop my online Canadian Stampin' Up! store.

Have a wonderful day - I'll see you tomorrow night (19:00 mountain time) for a Fancy Friday blog hop!

Sweet Honeybee Spinner Card

Hello friends!

Just a short and sweet post - I've got to run out the door momentarily to do things I should've done hours ago... I may or may not have lost track of time while stamping.  And playing Dr. Mario.  Whoops.

Today's card was a quick and easy one made with Shooting Star and the coordinating framelits.

The brilliance of these Thinlits is that they create a track for your stamped images to move - this little bee buzzes around her hive when you tilt the card.  So cute!

As always, all retiring supplies - including stamps! - are only available while supplies last.  Make sure you whip on over to my Online Stampin' Up! Store to get yours before they're gone!

Don't forget this month's host code - it's your key to a free bundle of supplies in the mail!

Just A (Picture Perfect) Note

Good morning, my friends!  Happy Victoria Day to my Canadian friends - and if you're not Canadian, I'm sorry if you're stuck at work on this beautiful Monday morning!

THIS IS IMPORTANT:  Before I share today's card, I have some VERY important news regarding retiring items.  Today is May 22, which is an important day on the Stampin' Up! calendar - it is the day that stamp sets on the retiring list are now only available while supplies last.  EVERYTHING on the retiring list is gone for good when it's sold out.

Have I ever told you about the time when I *didn't* buy this amazing retiring Christmas set, and then promptly changed my mind after the catalogue was over?  I believe I paid $88 for it on eBay - at least double what the list price was.  I still remember the set - it was called Cold & Cuddly and it had the most adorable little penguin in it.  That stamp set served an important lesson for me: if you like it, BUY IT.

I know - I'm a shameless enabler.

Today's stamp set is a beauty you won't want to miss out on.  Say hello (and goodbye!) to Picture Perfect.

With that story, let's move onto today's card - another feature of ALL retiring items!

This card might be one of my new favourites.  I love this colour combo, I love the sweet starfish, and I love all of the little layers.  And while there's a lot packed in to this card, the supply list is short and sweet: one stamp set, one DSP stack, and one embellishment pack.  Better yet?  Two out of three supplies are on sale!

The beautiful Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit is only $11.03.

And one of my all-time favourite papers - Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack - is only $7.50.  That's practically free!

There's two schools of thought on this: items on sale means either:
  1. Money saved - yay!  I can be frugal!   or...
  2. Money saved - yay!  I can buy even MORE craft supplies!
I'm definitely in category #2.  Which are you?  Either way, be sure to hop over to my Online Stampin' Up! store and get these deals before they're gone.

Let's have one last peek at the card...

Aren't those layers dreamy?  A few scraps of DSP, a few pre-made embellishments, and top it off with a couple of stamps.  It comes together so easily but packs a major punch!

Don't miss out on these retiring beauties - get 'em while they're on sale, get 'em before they're gone, and use that money saved for a new stamp set.  Or, you know, a dishwasher.  Just make sure you get the stamps you love!

See you again tomorrow for another retiring feature!

Rad Dad - Custom Tee Father's Day

Hello and happy Sunday, my friends!  It's a long weekend here in Canada, and my bestie and I have been taking advantage of the extra time by sewing up a storm.  My blog posts have been late the last couple of days because I've been preoccupied!  Whoops!  But late or not, we are still marching on with our month of retiring features - every single day!

Today's cards feature one of my favourite retiring bundles - Custom Tee.  Come May 31, this stamp set and the coordinating framelits will be gone, and I know you won't want to miss out!  With Father's Day being just a few weeks away, I decided to make a couple of cards for the Rad Dad in your life - whether that's your husband, your dad, your grandpa, a brother, or just a friend you want to recognize as a great dad!

Some dads are casual, so the tee-shirt fits them well.  That's my hubby, for sure.

And some dads are fancier, so ties are more fitting - when I was a kid, this was definitely my dad!

Either way, Custom Tee has your back.  It's got you covered.  Okay, that's all the tee-shirt related puns I can think of for now...

But check this out - this is important, folks!

The Custom Tee bundle consists of two things - the Custom Tee stamp set, which is on sale for $24.00, and the T-Shirt Builder Framelits, which are on sale for $19.80.  Are you doing the math?  Because that totals $43.80, which is a savings of almost $15.00 over buying the bundle!  For this reason, I have NOT linked the bundle below, like I usually do - you're better off buying the Framelits and stamps separately, and saving that $15.00 for other things... like ribbon, embellishments, and DSP... and don't forget, retiring items are only available while supplies last.  And as of tomorrow, that includes stamps.  Don't miss out.

Speaking of which - make sure to enter this month's host code at check-out for a FREE package of ribbon, embellishments, and DSP in the mail from me!  You don't need to win, you don't need to be lucky - just place an online order of ANY size, enter this host code, and extra goodies are yours.

Thanks so much for checking back in today - see you tomorrow for our final week of retiring features.  The new catalogue goes LIVE on June 1st!
