Stitches, Ribbons, Buttons, and Scraps - Christmas Quilt with Tags & Trimmings

Hello my friends!  All week, I've had an Artisan Blog Hop on my mind - I thought today was the day for October's feature post, and all week, I've been wrong!  Whoops!

Well, the good news is I'm way ahead of my usual timeline and next week's Artisan Design Team blog hop post is all written and ready to post.  Silver lining, I guess!

I know I've shared before that in addition to papercrafting, I'm also a sewist and a quilter.  Truth be told, I'm pretty much happy to dabble in whatever medium I can use to get my crafty fingers dirty.  It's my happy place, my sanity, my therapy, and my joy.

That's how this card came to be - I put together two stamp sets and a handful of embellishments that reminded me of my other favourite hobby to create this fun sewing-themed card.

The colour combination came at the suggestion of my friend Krista while we created together - isn't it gorgeous?  Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Dapper Denim, Bermuda Bay, and Calypso Coral are just perfection together.

The buttons, the x-stitching, the stitched ribbon, the sentiment - it all reminds me of what makes me happiest.  Quilting and papercrafting, together at last.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - see you again tomorrow!

But before you go - my Canadian friends, I have a lovely treat for you this month!  In conjunction with the incredible buy-3-get-1 Designer Series Paper sale (yeah, that's happening!)
