Hello There, Embossing Paste!

Hi friends!  I have a special new friend I'm incredibly excited to introduce to you.  We only just met recently, but we had instant chemistry and have been spending a TON of time together.  You'll be seeing her on my blog a LOT in the coming weeks and months - maybe even years! - so I wanted to officially introduce you.

Meet my new friend, Embossing Paste.

Isn't she lovely?

Okay, I know what you're thinking.  She's not much to look at on the outside.  But like your momma always said, it's what inside that counts.

And what's inside will make you sing from the rooftops.

Embossing paste is magic.  It is blissful.  It is satisfying and exciting to work with.  It produces beautiful results, always in their own unexpected uniqueness.  It is the stuff dreams are made of.

Basically, it's spackle.  Spackle for your paper crafts.  But that really doesn't capture its awesomeness.

You can colour it or leave it white.  You can add glitter or ink.  You can spread it, smear it, dollop it, and you can put it on thick or thin.  And every single time you use it, the results will be different.

I am IN. LOVE.

Full disclosure:  I've almost used this entire jar.  It arrived on Wednesday.  Five days.  I might need a twelve-step program... except I refuse to admit this is a problem.  It not a problem, it's JOY IN A JAR, and I'm not afraid to use it.

Let's check it out... on the first of many paste-y projects you'll be seeing on my blog!

Pure and simple - white paste on white cardstock.  Nothing but texture.  I've run the paste over one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks to create this simple diamond background.  It's lovely, isn't it?

It's a little extra oomph without being too bold: the perfect compliment to these bright pieces of this card.

I am hooked on this stuff and I couldn't wait to share it with you!  You'll be seeing lots more of it in upcoming blog posts - which means I know you'll want to get your own jar ASAP.  Play along with me, won't you?  Embossing Paste can be your bestie, too.  Links to shop my online store are below - my refill order just shipped this morning, so hopefully I won't be without.  That would break my heart.

Until next time - happy crafting.  I have paper to spackle.

Cheers,
Shannon
