Cheers to Dads!

Hi friends!  Father's Day is coming up this weekend, so I wanted to share a fun card I made for my dad.  This went in the mail and is en route, so hopefully it arrives before he peeks at my blog next (yeah, my dad does that from time to time and sends me little emails to tell me how proud he is of me.  He's sweet like that.)

A big box of new goodies arrived on my doorstep this week and I've spent the last few days working my way through all of my new favourites.  It's always a bit overwhelming at the beginning of a new catalog - so much knew stuff that I barely know where to start, and it always takes a bit of time to find my "groove" with new sets.  Some playtime with no deadlines was exactly what I needed!

Mixed Drinks, Labeler Alphabet, Mixed Borders, Touches of Texture, and Playful Backgrounds combined with some new accessories - skinny Smoky Slate ribbon, Envelope Paper, and Black Metallic Thread - to create this masculine and bold card.  It's no secret that I love combining stamp sets to create a unique look, and it never fails to impress me how well they all go together.  Those designers at Stampin' Up! are some smart cookies - it's no mistake, I'm sure!  Who would think there were FIVE brand new sets on this card?!

And in case you were wondering - Labeler Alphabet is everything I'd hoped it would be.  SWOON!

Cheers - have a great day!

Treat yo'self!  You deserve it!  (And I'd love it if you used this month's host code!)
