Irresistibly Yours for the Birthday Boy

I feel like I haven't professed my love for Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP in DAYS.  It seriously is one of my favourite things EVER in any of the Sale-A-Brations I've known - and I've been a Stampin' Up user for about 8 years now!  The beautiful white-on-white embossed paper resists ink and create the perfect custom touch.

For today's card - a little boy birthday - I chose the star paper and decided to ink it up by using a Spritzer and Pool Party Reinker.  The paper can be inked up with a brayer, sponges, spritzers, stamps - you name it - and the pattern will resist the ink.

I combined the images and sentiment from Hooray It's Your Day (another freebie from my contest winnings - the perks of being a demonstrator!) with the big "1" from Little Sunshine.  There's a few stars peeking out from behind the main panel, which is stitched on with some navy thread.  I love this unconventional and fun colour pallet for a little boy - Pool Party, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate, and Night of Navy.

I've got a feature on DSP coming up for the next two days - it's not something I usually use, so I decided to do two creations back-to-back.  Check back and check it out!

  1. I love this technique with this paper! I stocked up on like 6 blendabilities and I hope I don't regret not getting a second pack of paper! Lol
