Project Life - Daily December

It's May, I know, but it's never too early to get a head start on Christmas!  Last year, I decided to take my very first foray into Project Life.  I was burnt out and tired of old-school scrapbooking.  I was up to my eyeballs in digital photos that would never see the light of day.  I was sad that my son would never have photo albums to flip through like I did when I was a kid.  That moment really set in when he asked to see pictures of when he was in my tummy, and I had to pull up Facebook on my phone to show him.

So last year, when my fabulous friend and wonderful upline was offering a Project Life Daily December class, I jumped on it.  It was basically a guided tour into the world of Stampin' Up's Project Life collection.  A Daily December album - basically one little thing every day for a month - broke it down into a super easy, super manageable task.

I was able to finish the album, and we had a wonderful little snapshot of our family in 2014 and our holiday traditions.  I loved it so much, I vowed that I'd keep up.  Six months later, I've got the over-5000 photos on my hard drive organized and put into chronological order, AND I've made an album of my son's first few months (more on that in a few days!)

Project Life by Stampin' Up seriously changed my life.  It changed the way my family will see our memories because they'll actually be able to see them.  I've been storing our album on a low shelf in our family room, and I keep catching my son pulling them off the shelf and browsing them and asking us about when he was a baby.  Those moments are so special and I'm so glad I was able to do this for him, for all of us.

Won't you do it for your family?

The Hello December Project Life kit is still available and linked below.  Check out some of the pages I made!

An easy cover renovation with some acrylic paint, stamps, and the Hello December accessory kit.

The acetate overlays (shown on the bottom left photo here and the top left on the next page) add a bit of detail to the ordinary.

The little cork letters in the accessory kit are just precious.

Even without photos, you can document your days.

And what's a photo album without a little food porn?

And on Christmas Day, our annual family photo.

I hope this post encouraged you to get moving on those old photos; your memories are worth it.

XOXO
