I'm going to be adding a new feature to my blog called Triple-Up Thursday - it was an idea I had this weekend. The concept is simple - one stamp set, one set of ink pads, three 3x3 cards! I want to show that it's not difficult to create fab cards without a tonne of supplies. I've added a few simple embellishments, a bit of cardstock, and that's it. Easy peasy.
Today's Triple-Up is featuring Calling All Heroes, one of our awesome photopolymer sets. I love photopolymer, especially for sets like this, where the images are layered or overlapping; it makes placement so easy! The colour pallet called for bright, bold comic book colours, so I chose Real Red, Crushed Curry, Pacific Point, Old Olive, and Basic Black.
And here's what I created!
Embellishments are kept simple and could be eliminated altogether - these really are fab cards to whip up in a flash without having a stocked-to-the-ceiling craft room like (ahem!) some of us. :) The only embellishments I've used are some Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, our Mini Stapler, Candy Dots, and some extra scraps of cardstock. So easy!
And saving the best for last... this one's my favourite. :) Those bright red threads are the same Real Red Taffeta Ribbon - I've just cut it open and pulled the pieces out for a different look. :)
I love that Calling All Heroes comes with focal images, background images, AND a full alphabet - it really is the perfect all-in-one set!
See you again tomorrow for a fun little halloween card!
